Our Breast Health Navigator Program, also known as SistahFriends, was established to navigate women over 40 to their screening mammogram appointments. After learning that Black women in Pierce County had the highest mortality rate, Leaders in Women's Health created this program as a way of providing education and assistance to individuals in need. This program currently partners with the Carol Milgard Breast Center and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health.

Our Education Committee takes the lead on providing health education to our community members. Each course is tailored to the needs of our community members and partners with local experts to provide the education. Courses we have offered in the past include:

We understand the importance of being in community. Our quarterly Lunch & Mingles are hosted by our partner organizations as various locations throughout the South Sound. This is a wonderful opportunity to network and meet individuals and organizations who are committed to addressing health disparities. We welcome outside organizations to participate as well. This is a great opportunity to connect and network with the 20+ organizations that are part of Leaders in Women's Health.
